The Environmental Services Division at the Indiana Department of Transportation in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking a new manager for the Cultural Resources Office. The manager directs a team of archaeologists and historians who provide assessments and documentation in support of transportation projects. The office is well-established and has nationally recognized programmatic approaches to affected resources. Strong candidates will have direct or translatable experience with Eastern Woodland archaeology, industrial or historical archaeology, and/or US Midwestern architectural or landscape history, as well as a high level of understanding of Section 106, NHPA, and NEPA. The listed salary is the minimum, salary likely will be commensurate with the extent and applicability of the candidate’s technical and management experience.
